C8 Degeneration

The dark side of the training response is degeneration. The opposite to training is de-conditioning. As we age we exercise less and get out of shape, giving rise to the dark side of the training response: degeneration. As we develop a smaller repertoire of movements with our body we become prone to using the same movement patterns over and over. The over reliance upon too few a variety of movements is one way a human body can degenerate. When we do not spread the load we can overuse some tissues and not at all other tissues, causing a degenerative de-conditioned body to emerge.

Degeneration does not occur due to age otherwise we would degenerate all over our body because it is all the same age…
